Hosting Info
As of September 2006, OwarinaiNET is hosted with Dreamhost. I haven’t been with them long, but I’m liking them quite a bit so far. Give it a try if you’re looking for a host!
At the very beginning, I was with JaanHost for a mere two months when they upped and disppeared with my money. Then I went with Endore a few months later and was with them for a little over 4 months, when the server I was on got hacked- which, of course, included all my sites as well. So that died…but what’s more, while I was still trying to recover from the hack, Endore died and took my money with them too! You can actually read the article about Endore’s little act. After that, I was with HostForWeb for over 2 years or 4 years if you count the time when I was hosted with Rakuen.nu. Alas, they started going downhill and I eventually landed at Dreamhost.
Owarinai.net Hosting…
Unless we know each other or I really like your site, I will not be taking any more hostees at Owarinai.net- and even if those conditions were met, I would still have to see if I’m capable of taking you on. Several of my sites are rather popular and generate tons of usage, which means it’s becomming more and more difficult for me to host other people. While bandwidth is no longer an issue after signing up with Dreamhost, my sites tend to use a lot of resources so I’d rather not take any chances at the moment.
Currently, every single hostee of mine is either a friend or a person who came referred by someone I know. Usually, they want to build a site (sometimes a personal simple one) and needed a host that isn’t something horrible like geocities or tripod…so I give them space over here. In that sense, you’ll never see me put up an application form for hosting at Owarinai.net.
However, if for some reason, you truly want to be hosted here...you’re free to try asking. I won’t bite. But your site would probably have to appeal to my interests greatly for me to give you hosting. Just send me a sample of your work/site and give me some reasons why you want to be hosted here.
