The Layout

The current layout features NANA, which is a very awesome manga by the talented Yazawa Ai. It’s one of my favorite manga at the moment, and I simply love everything about it. I highly recommend it! The plot, the characters, and the art- they’re all great. I’ve been wanting to make a manga-themed layout for a while now, and seeing how NANA is one of my current obsessions, it was only natural for me to make a layout in dedication to the series. :)

To be honest, I’m not sure how long this layout will remain up- mostly because it was done primarily for some experimentation with coding. It’s also not very friendly with smaller resolutions I think? Additionally, I’ve found that the text doesn’t look so good on a PC as opposed to a Mac…which is unfortunate. Seeing how it has a lot of issues that I’m not fond of, I reckon I may change the layout faster than usual.

Unlike all my past layouts for OwarinaiNET, this one is much larger and contains plenty of space for content. The reason I made this choice is because of the direction that I’m taking this domain towards- which is going give it a lot more actual content rather than the previous purpose of making it only a “hub” of all sites under OwarinaiNET. And those who know me probably already realize that I generally dislike browsing sites with a lot of content but only a small scrolling space to display them. I’m guessing that most people won’t like this layout anywhere near as much as my previous Naruto one though!

Coding-wise, the layout is done via validated XHTML with the use of divs and CSS. As always, I hand code my own sites with a plain text editor while the graphics portion is done in Adobe Photoshop. All resources/textures used were by me from Colorfilter Designs.

Past Layouts…

For those curious, in the past, this domain had gone through layouts featuring other series such as FuriKuri, Hikaru no Go, Naruto, among others. When my last computer crashed, I lost a lot of things and no longer have screencaps of some older layouts. I’ll do a little digging to see if I can retake the screenshots of old HTML files and put a few of them up here for viewing. :)
