Site Background

Simply said, Owarinai.net is the spawn of my sudden inexplicable urge to register for my own domain after venturing into the world of creating fansites. Most of my first sites used to be hosted by Oni at rakuen.nu, but they were all eventually moved here after he gave up self-hosting and the domain altogether. Then I ended up hosting him here! :D

This collective first went online on 03/03/2K3 and has gone through quite a bit of changes throughout the years. Many sites came and went for various reasons, but OwarinaiNET also contains a couple of “staple” massive fansites that will probably remain online as long as I can afford it. A majority of the original sites within this domain are anime/manga-related, though there’s always a black sheep here or there. I had initially intended for this domain to be purely animanga, and I often joke that this collective is where I focus my attempt at expanding my reign on the internet (bwaha!)... but alas, at the end of the day, it’s just another site among a whole slew of others out there. And it’s really a fandom collective of whatever that happens to strike my fancy at the moment. I like to think that there are some exceptional fansites located here though!

The Domain…

Owarinai.net was purchased from Go Daddy back in 02.17.2K3, and it was also the first domain I’ve ever bought.

Owarinai (owari nai, to be specific) means “endless” in Japanese. The idea of the name came from a song in the Inuyasha OST- called Owarinai Yume, which means “Endless Dream”. It actually wasn’t my first choice in terms of a domain name. There were several other names I had wanted, Soldats (from Noir) being one of them, but just about everything decent I could think of was taken. After days of frustration from trying to find something that wasn’t taken, I ended up with Owarinai.net- which was just as well because the biggest and most popular of my fansites happened to be of Sesshoumaru from the Inuyasha series.
